450MW Hydroelectric Power Plant

Kupper provided system integration services for a utility RTU that included design, assembly, programming, and testing.  Kupper provided coordination of data points, communication diagrams, RTU installation diagrams, onsite startup, and verification.  For consistency in hardware within the site, the Allen Bradley ControlLogix PLC hardware was provided to concentrate all digital and analog signals.

 

Water Treatment Plant SCADA System

Kupper Engineering designed and built several control panels for a water treatment plant in Lancaster County, PA.  This included a wastewater local control panel, as well as two panels at each remote well site (SCADA enclosure and VFD enclosure), a central control panel, and a remote monitoring panel enclosure for the facility’s water tower.

LCSWMA Landfill and Waste-to-Energy Facilities

Our SCADA system provides effluent water monitoring and weather monitoring for the Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority’s (LCSWMA) Creswell Landfill site. Our controls and automation team also provides full systems control monitoring services to LCSWMA’s adjacent Frey Farm Landfill. In addition, we perform high precision monitoring and fee calculations for the steam and process water usage at LCSWMA’s Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Facility by the adjacent Perdue AgriBusiness soybean process plant. LCSWMA’s Lancaster WTE facility creates enough electricity from waste to power tens of thousands of Lancaster County homes, along with providing steam to Perdue.
